SYMPTOM:
An external keyboard does not function when plugged directly into the PS/2 mouse port.

SOLUTION:
If you want to use an external keyboard, you must use the optional keyboard/mouse cable. ( Part number 54G0441)

ADDITIONAL INFORMAT ION:
A PS/2 mouse or the IBM Keypad can be plugged into the port without using the keyboard/mouse cable.
