1. Right-click [My Computer] on the desktop and select [Properties] to display [System Properties].

Download Sony Utilities
1. Open the folder of SonyUtilities you created beforehand.
2. Double-click the [Setup.exe] icon, and follow the Installation wizard.
3. Click [Finish] button and restart your computer when the installation has completed.
Download Display/Video Driver
1. Open the folder you prepared beforehand and execute [Setup.exe] icon. Follow the installation wizard.
2. After the installation, restart your computer.
3. Click [Start]-[Settings]-[Control Panel].
4. Double-click [Display] and show [Display Properties].
5. Click [Advanced] button on [Settings] tab.
6. Uncheck [Hide modes that this monitor cannot display] on [Monitor] tab and press [OK]. If this checkbox is grayed out, press [OK] button to close the ATI Rage Mobility-M1 AGP Properties and press [Apply] button once. Then go back to the step 5, so that the checkbox of [Hide modes that this monitor cannot display] is activated.
7. Make sure that [Color] is [High Color (16 bit)] and [Screen Area] is [1024 by 768 pixels] on the [Settings] tab.
Download Sound/Audio Driver
1. Right-click [My Computer] on the desktop to display [System Properties].
2. Select the [Hardware] tab and press the [Device Manager] button. [Device Manager] appears on the screen.
3. Uninstall [YAMAHA Native DS1 WDM Driver] in [Sound, video and game controllers].
4. Start Explorer and select [Folder Options] in the [Tools] menu.
5. Select the [View] tab and tick in the [Show hidden files and folders].
6. Press the [OK] button to close [Folder Options].
7. Right-click [My Computer] in Explorer and select [Search]. The [Search Results] window appears.
8. Type "WDMA_YM2.INF" in the box of [Search for files or folders named] and select “Local Disk (D
” in the [Look in:] box. Press the [Search Now] button. The PC starts searching for files.
9. Right-click the searched [WDMA_YM2.INF] file and press the [Delete] button to delete it.
10. Restart Windows 2000.
11. The PC recognizes Multi-media Audio Controller at the time of startup and starts [Found New Hardware Wizard]. (When the PC fails to start the wizard, select Multi-media Audio Controller from Device Driver and install the driver once again.)
12. Press the [Next>] button twice to display the[Locate Driver Files].
13. Put a tick in [Specify a location] only under [Optional search locations] and press the [Next>] button.
14. Press the [Browse] button, specify the folder created in step 11 and press the [Open] button. Press the [OK] button again. Your PC searches for the driver files. Searching takes some time.
15. When the PC searches the driver files, press the [Next>] button.
16. The [Digital Signature Not Found] dialog appears. But continue by pressing the [Yes] button.
17. In the middle of copying files, does appear an error message twice, saying “Copy Error: Setup cannot copy the file ds1Nor.hlp (or ds1Dut.hlp).” Press [Cancel] button and answer [Yes] to the question, “Do you want to continue to Setup without copying this file?”
18. The PC copies the driver files. When it has finished copying, press the [Finish] button.
19. Verify [YAMAHA DS-XG PCI Audio CODEC (WDM)] is displayed under [Sound. video and game controllers] option in [Device Manager].
Download Modem Driver
1. Right-click [My Computer] on the desktop and select [Properties] to display [System Properties].
2. Select the [Hardware] tab and press the [Device Manager] button. [Device Manager] appears on the screen.
3. Double-click [PCI Simple Communications Controller] in [Other Devices]. [PCI Simple Communications Controller Properties] appears.
4. Click the [Update Driver] button on the [Driver] tab. [Upgrade Device Driver Wizard] appears.
5. Press the [Next>] button twice to display [Locate Driver Files].
6. Put a tick into the [Specify the location] under [Optional search locations] and click [Next].

5. Press the [Next>] button twice to display [Locate Driver Files].
6. Put a tick into the [Specify the location] under [Optional search locations] and click [Next].

8. When your computer has searched for the driver files, put a tick in the [Install one of the other drivers] and click [Next] button. The driver selection window appears.

**Sony Shared Library has to be installed at first, before installing other utilities.
Download Sony Shared Library
1. Open the folder of Sony Shared Library you created beforehand.
2. Execute [Setup.exe] in the [Installer] folder and follow the Installation wizard.
3. Click [Finish] button when the installation has completed.
4. Restart the PC when you have completed installation.
Download Sony Notebook Setup
1. Open the folder of Sony Notebook Setup you created beforehand.
2. Execute [Setup.exe] in [Disk1] folder, and follow the Installation wizard
3. Click [Finish] button when the installation has completed.
4. Restart the PC when you have completed installation.
Download Power Panel Utility
1. Open the folder of PowerPanel you created beforehand.
2. Execute [Setup.exe] in [Disk1] folder, and follow the Installation wizard
